The updated travel rod range offers the performance of a conventional lure rod in a compact, travel-friendly design. Built using Daiwa's advanced carbon technologies, these four and five-piece rods combine impressive casting ability, strength and sensitivity with a smooth, progressive action when casting and playing fish.
Central to their performance is V-Joint Alpha technology, which allows the multi-section blank to flex naturally under load, maintaining a consistent curve through the rod. This helps the Saltist Travel perform much like a traditional two-piece design, without sacrificing the convenience of a compact packed length.
The range includes 7ft four-piece and 8ft five-piece models, both rated for casting lures from 14–42g. For anglers requiring greater casting power, the 8ft 6in four-piece models are available in 28–84g and 80–140g versions.
Each model features a responsive tip designed to load efficiently when casting, while retaining the strength needed to control powerful fish. The choice of casting weights makes the range suitable for a variety of lure fishing applications, from lighter spinning to working larger, heavier lures.
